Or, in other words, we currently block it, Interner surfer! We think about your safety and the might-be-naughty factors in you, we want to protect you from the bad influences, that is why this page is blocked. You see how much we have done for you, we have to stop the bad sources touching your eyes? You complain, huh? You see, sometimes, we have to act against your will for your own good, everything has a side effect, while we are blocking you from the bad influence, some good ones are blocked too, but we thought about that, and we know, we'd rather be the one who is blamed than letting you go attained the bad stuff! (sight, and continue on consoling...)
Now, look at countries where information goes out of control, look at their crime rates, their suicides numbers, their social sickness, do you feel better in the cozy net that we choose for you?
Do I hear some laughing around, be careful as we are watching you! B-)

Knight & Fight
Have we read from our childhood that a beautiful princess is waiting in the castle for a handsome knight to rescue one day? Have most of the girls while growing up defined for themselves a prince charming going together to the ball? That's the burning question, do we need a knight to come to rescue or to be rescued?
In the reality, this electronic society requires each of us to survive on our own, whoever you are! The search for a knight can turn into a nightmare.
A lady friend of mine, H. 29 year-old, good career, cute, open, sharp, is constantly looking for a man who would care, and stand up for her, who would not mind her career success, "Finding someone who understands, loves and accept who you are, that does not care about your educational degree or social position!" Does this sound simple to do so? Then you are never been in dating game.
Have we all be raised with thought, a woman without her man is an empty spot? According to the past, woman place is next to the oven, where they look after their family through each meals, clean cloth and raise their children until the day they realize that only men have "brain". And now that woman working and bring home food, and society teaches us the equality and freedom for woman, should we become man, be treated like man? Do we still need a prince charming for the sake of our soul?
I remember once in Vung Tau, we were a group of professional people together having coffee in a small shop next to the beach. By co-incidence, I was the only person who worked with databases, Oracle, and all the related things to system analysis and design, and also the only one girl in the group. One guy popped up a technical question of my expertise, and of course, I was assigned to answer. After getting information, exchanging ideas, feedbacks and it should have been going well if, I was not technically correct. Turned back to the group, and he said "You could never win by argueing with a woman!", and everyone ended in laughters. I was shocked to the core, as the same time, I was badly treated as a professional and as a woman. Should we girls never to give technical advise, if we do not want to be treated as a noisy girl loving arguing? Shoud we girls be upset in this case, so that we prove him right, that you should never argue with a woman?
It is certain that my case is not only instance that happened. If we go each step from every mind of working gals, we could find much more embarassing moments than that!
You like to have a man when he helps you carrying a big box upstair, and now that when you have an opinion, are you entitled to have an open discussion without a lame excuse that we don't want to argue with a woman - since you are correct?
Where is the thin line between gentleman behaviour and the attitude of disregard you as an equal partner? Why girls always have to choose, whether to protect their feminine site or at the same time their professional entity? Some use to their advantages but the rest go to extreme.
Are we really from different planet? Or am I just paranoid?
The knight is your gentleman, or the bastard forces you work day and night?
The whole world is moving forward but there is still a question proposed the discussion of woman and her role in a modern society. Can we talk about man now?

New Kids On The Blog
First, I would like to put everything in this blog, my life, things that we want to start, then , it comes to the question, what is for? I can not merge everything at once, and of course, can not do everything by myself.
Especially when my poohbear told me about, increasing the size of the good thing that we tried as individuals to a bigger size, and for the people who need. Then it clear to me that I need to keep all these, for the people we know, for the future...
It is still small, and just started, but we hope to make it useful for those who'd like to make a good deed, or want to share with us, your difficulties if we could help!
We put the information about the little thing we tried to do to make a difference, about the hearts of gold of the people we know, about all the good stuff we've seen under the little thing website, and try to form a place to share the our stories, our life in the Home-roasted Coffee Ground website. Check them out and please give us your feedbacks!
And this VietBloom is saved for our friends', our friends' friends', and our related experiences, stories, news, information for Vietnam...
Well it takes me the whole day to move data, repost, remove, register, and conclusion, same as moving house, moving your pages is also not interesting as starting something brand-new!

Hope & The Country
We all thought AIDS would kill all the human race only 5 years ago. Then, some religious people explained the God's instructions through AIDS, faithful to your lover! I don't know about that, but it is clearly that we somehow can protect ourselves against AIDS. What a relief! Since when, the sickness of other kinds comes back and kills humans?
Then there comes avian flu to the world, can we fight sneezes, up your nose?
In each Vietnamese house, there is always some chicken use for soups, for worshipping to the house devinities, to the ancestors. Vietnam has been warned about the risk of avian flu since last year Tet of the Rooster (what an odd coincident), but it did not make any sense to each family, says my mother as an example. She did not buy any chicken UNTIL the night of 30th of At Dau Tet, same as did many women in Ha Noi. The chicken meat price went up to 200K VND / kg (around 13 USD) in the last year. People laughed. The government did not really enfore the destroying of chicken or duck farms as well as the selling of the meat. On the other hand, what can we do? The poor farmers do not have another way of living, the government of a poor country could not sponsor too much money to help the ones destroying their own living ways.
With the increasing cases infected of H5N1 virus, the government has to enfore the ban of selling chicken in all the provinces of the country. Fingers crossed...
But you know what? Vietnam is producing Tamilflu thank to Roche ! We can start our war against bird flu, to save people!
The end of human is still far from coming, as long as each person, each country realizes that we will die by all these diseases real fast if we are not reaching to each other.
Added 13 March 2006: This is the link about Avian Influenza, if you would like to know its scientific information, I've got this information thanked to my little sister who asked me to translate this document into Vietnamese for reference use inside her university report?! 27 pages of typing is not really a fun task, especially when you are not enjoy the translation!

Earthquake In Sai Gon, Again!
It happened again yesterday. The whole buiding Me Linh Point was shaking around 3PM, 8 Nov 2005 for 5 - 10 seconds, well, this was only my second one since when I could remember. The night before, around midnight, the bed was shaking, alone in the night, and did not know what it was, childhood stories came back as tsunami, I thought it was a ghost in the house! Well, thank to my father, who scared us with all these stories.
Yesterday, in office, there should be no ghost what so ever, so it must be an earthquake... Together with all colleagues, I ran from the 18th floor down. Had never seen my legs shaking like that.
To my surprise, along the staircase, I saw many girls who walked so slowly in their heels or zoris, hands in hands, despite the recommendations from some foreigners and others, blocked all the way down. What would happen if there were a fire in the buidling, please forgive my sayings? We should not be frightened, I know, what should we do when some people just do not care about others' feelings? Where is the line between being fair and being care?
I heard it was around 5 Richter. Think about all the terrible things to Asia lately, bombing in Indonesia, southern Thailand, tsunami in South-East Asia, floods in China and Vietnam, earthquake in South Asia, avian flu, it looks like bad luck chooses to find a new home in the old and poor continent.

Hurry Up!
Hey dear, do you know that you are quite behind the world? Q., a highshool friend, told me. Viet nam is changing. People change. Supermarkets, which used to be a simbol of a better life, are opening everywhere.
You should go blogging. Tear off your diaries at home, this is the way to go. Well, here I go, open the latop, type what were in my mind, what is in my mind, what I think it is true.
Where can you find changes in a country, in its people, in its streets... This is where I want to go, the place where I work, the streets where we shop along or eat something, people that I know or acquaint with.
The question is, if we have the deadline, we know when we should hurry up. So in life, what is the deadline? When do we have to say to ourselves to hurry up?
It used to be much easier when we were in school or at work, the teacher told us when we should submitted the home work, the boss told us about the next report, but in life, who is going to tell us to hurry up? And if we must do it then what push us ahead, and how could we recognize the deadline we set?
